- Pouilly Fuisse, Vieilles Vignes 2000/01
- Domaine Manciat Poncet
- The excellent Manciat Poncet estate was created by the merger of two family owned estates. The grapes are hand picked and gently pressed to ensure the quality of the juice. The wines
- are among the best in the area, showing the fruit and softness you would expect from Maconnais Chardonnay. New oak is used sparingly although depth of flavour in the Vieilles Vignes (old vine) can support a much higher proportion of oak ageing. Very elegant and quite mature with a rich, buttery nose followed by a soft, ripe mineral fruit and a subtle toasty character.
